Part of Russian Police Training Today
Ok, so he is an interesting story. Today I am walking to the store, talking to a friend on the phone in English, when I pass by a Russian Police car. No big deal, happens all the time, think nothing of it. Next thing I know 2 of them politely ask me to stop and show them my documents. Kinda strange but nothing too out of the ordinary and I of course I comply. Show them my passport, registration, visa, and migration card. Here is where it gets interesting. As I provide each other, the older cop starts pointing out stuff to the younger one. At this point I realize it is a training session. The young cop is new to the job and the older one is just showing him what he needs to look for and check on each document. They heard me speaking English and the older cop realized it was a perfect opportunity to train the new guy. So, they checked my papers, everything was in order, the wished me a pleasant day and I went on my way.
What I learned in Germany
Ok, so what a great trip to Germany. This time we stayed in a small town called Dulmen, and the festival we attended was held in Ludinghausen. The closest major city is Dusseldorf. So, Offspring was very good, and AFI was amazing, even though they did short us for time.
What else did we learn. There is a small region in Germany named Poepsel. Spelled Popsel with and umlaut over the o. There is a hotel bearing my last name, a bus stop, and a few farms. Overall it was cool, because I am pretty sure my family heritage runs through there. I will post a picture.
Besides that the weather was nice, the food, music and beer was good and it was a wonderful trip.

Flugtag
Last weekend was the Red Bull Flugtag and they had it here in Moscow. It was a nice, sunny and warm day. For those who don't know, the Flugtag is when a bunch of people make these big ridiculous contraptions and push them off a ramp over water to see if the thing will fly. The best part is, no, none of them have a chance of flying so you just see a bunch of people fall into the water. One big lame thing though was that they did not sell any alcohol on the premises, we had to keep leaving to go to a gas station across the street, luckily it was free entry. Also, afterwards we found a Domino's pizza, it was just like it tastes back home. :)

Mr. Burrito
So after the circus, I walk outside and what do I see across the street. A restaurant called Mr. Burrito. Couldn't believe it. I have seen mexican restaurants is Moscow, but this was the first fast food type one. So I went in tried a Pork Burrito and it was pretty tasty. The cost was about 1.50. So more expensive than taco bell or mighty taco, but the burrito was bigger. Here is a photo of the place.
